Engineer - Mechanical

Mechanical Discipline Manager (Plumbing and Ventilation)

You will be responsible for supervising the design and application of the technique in your project team and managing the relationship with the client and the various stakeholders.

You will have the choice of working from our offices in Montreal or Sainte-Therese

What tasks and responsibilities can you expect?

  • Plan the tasks of the discipline

  • Plan resources for projects

  • Meet project deliverables within prescribed deadlines

  • Develop and monitor construction budgets

  • Lead the mechanical design team of the project and sign documents as an engineer: Maintain the technical document so that it meets the needs of the project; perform and validate calculations; produce conceptual diagrams; select equipment and coordinate their integration with other disciplines; produce the technical specifications for the discipline; ensure compliance and respect for standards and regulations; apply the design methods, procedures and standards of Dupras Ledoux

  • Establishing interdisciplinary relationships

  • Coordinate the main elements with the Client and other stakeholders

  • Participate in coordination meetings with the Client and other stakeholders

  • Synthesize the information received and transmit it to your work team

What are the prerequisites for this position?

  • Hold an engineering license (OIQ)

  • Relevant experience of 5 years in building mechanical engineering design

What skills are sought?

  • Excellent communication skills in French, both oral and written (English is an asset for understanding product documentation from outside Canada)

  • Basic knowledge in the above-mentioned disciplines

  • Knowledge of Québec construction codes, standards, and regulations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software (an asset)

  • Familiarity with PMI concepts (an asset)
